Fans may have had an inadvertent preview of what their favorite players will be wearing when they take part in the 2022 All-Star Game in February.
According to Icethetics.com, the most recent All-Star jerseys were leaked online ahead of their official unveiling on a date yet to be determined.
The two jerseys show the NHL reverting to a simpler design than in previous years, with the league’s crest at the front and center of the uniform, while blue and red serve as the two primary colors. There are also two large stars running down the sleeve of each sweater, leading to some accent lines in black and white, respectively.
With the All-Star Game slated to take place in Las Vegas this year, it is interesting that the NHL did not rely on the aesthetics of its host city when designing the uniforms, perhaps using the colors of the Golden Knights or including fun nods to the spirit. of the city, like a dice or playing card chart.
Nonetheless, these are two very nice and streamlined designs that should please fans on a broad level without breaking new ground.
Additional uniform releases have not yet been revealed.
