Idukki: The images have come out showing government officials involved in bribery to legalize a false property title in Munnar. Mathrubhumi News obtained images of officials and intermediaries who participated in discussions to reorder 3 titles of titles in the village of Anaviratty. The images exposed the corruption of two tehsildars and a surveyor.
The officials participated in discussions related to the ‘Pokkuvaravu’ (ownership mutation) process of the land owned by Dr. Anand, a native of Tamil Nadu. Devikulam Tehsildar R Radhakrishnan, Munnar Special Tehsildar PP Joy, and Devikulam Taluk Surveyor Udayakumar were seen in the images.
Special Tehsildar PP Joy was appointed as officer to find false property titles and stop property mutation in Munnar. He had faced action before for similar illegal activities.
In the video, Tehsildar R Radhakrishnan can be seen advising on matters to legalize property title.
It is clear from their conversation that they were talking about a deed issued in 1993.
Since the footage came out, officials have been trying to file a report rejecting the ‘Pokkuvaravu’ process of Anand’s property.
