Class 10 paper leak: Education dept begins inquiry | Ahmedabad News

Ahmedabad – In a major setback for the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board (GSHSEB), the question paper for Class 10 was leaked on Friday before the science subject exam.
GSHSEB has prepared the question papers for the current unit test for students in classes 9-12.
The document was likely leaked from a school in Gandhinagar, sources familiar with the development said. The education department has ordered an investigation into the matter.
Unit testing for Class 9 through Class 12 students across the state began on October 18 and will end on October 27.
In the case of the self-funded schools, the GSHSEB had allowed them the option of setting their own exams.
“The board had sent documents to the DEOs in covers sealed in advance. But, on Friday, it came to light that many students had acquired the questionnaires before the exams started, ”the sources said.
When the education department learned of the matter, it took matters into its own hands and began the investigation, the sources said.
“The document was leaked after it left the DEO offices and reached the school principals. The investigation is focused on how and where exactly it was leaked, ”the sources said.
Recently, there were complaints about a document leaking in Dehgam at a copier center.
