IDUKKI: A high-level investigation will be carried out into the allegation that a police officer from Karimannoor Police Station in Idukki had leaked confidential information related to prominent RSS-BJP workers from the police database.

An earlier investigation found that Anas PK, attached to the Karimannoor Police Station, had leaked confidential information related to vehicles owned by BJP-RSS workers together with their personal data and provided it to SDPI activists. After this, he has been placed on suspension.

Idukki SP R Karuppasamy will carry out a detailed investigation, including the purpose of obtaining the details of the vehicles owned by RSS-BJP workers. In addition, it will also be investigated if you have committed similar acts in the past.

As is known, further action will be taken against Anas based on the SP report. Anas had leaked details of prominent RSS-BJP workers in Idukki. The details were collected by the District Criminal Records Office as part of the state exercise conducted by the Kerala Police as a precaution in the wake of incidents of political violence that were reported in various parts of the state.
