HEALTH MINISTER Rajesh Tope said Wednesday that if the BJP-led opposition gives evidence of malpractice and paper leakage in the health department’s Group C and Group D exams, then he would make a retired chief secretary examine the matter. He also said that if a new examination is to be conducted for the same recruitment, the government will not charge any examination fee.
Tope was responding to a question in the legislative council about malpractice and paper leakage in recent reviews. The recruitment was necessary to fill a number of vacant positions in the health department to deal with Covid and more than 8 lakh of candidates had been registered. The leaked paper dates back to Ambejogai in Beed.
The opposition leader in the council, Pravin Darekar, said that the problem has affected many applicants and that the senior officials who conducted the examinations were arrested.
