Aadhaar, a flagship program launched in 2009 by then-Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh, has gone a long way from where it initially was in the past 12 years. Aadhaar is now considered one of the important documents that every citizen of India should have, including children and babies. It is a 12-digit UID (Unique Identity) Number assigned by the Unique Identification Authority of India on behalf of the Government of India.
Aadhaar data consists of various information about the person, such as Irish Scan, fingerprints and thumbs of both hands, the person’s address and date of birth, mobile phone number (linked) and email address.
Throughout the year, the use of the Aadhaar card has changed from just one ID to more. Now it has become an essential document required for all government related work, bank account opening, LPG connection, any government scheme and other similar work. Since its launch, it has also become one of the leading means of identity proof accepted across the country for all citizens of India.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which is responsible for all things Aadhaar, continues to develop innovative services to help Aadhaar card customers solve their problems. In response to the epidemic, the UIDAI recently announced that Aadhaar card users can now download their cards online anytime, anywhere.
UIDAI allows citizens of India to download Aadhaar card at their convenience. To download Aadhaar cars, all you need is a mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card.
