If you are on this page, it is very likely that you are one of those lucky people who managed to get their hands on the Sony PlayStation 5 game console in the shape of a unicorn. You enjoy playing your favorite games, especially the PS5 editions and exclusives, but you wonder how you can download PlayStation 5 games remotely. This is something that can help you save a lot of time. You can add a title to the download list even when you’re away from the console so that once you’ve got the controller in hand, you’re ready to go instead of waiting.

Before starting the tutorial, make sure you have your PlayStation 5 linked with the PlayStation app. You can do this by logging into the app with the same PlayStation account that you have on the console. Visit the app settings and scroll down to access the Console management section. Select the Link the console to the application option and follow the instructions on the screen.

Once you have successfully paired your console, you will need to keep it in sleep mode instead of turning it off.

Note: We have used the Android application to demonstrate the process, but even if it is on iOS, everything remains the same.

Download PlayStation 5 games remotely:

  1. Launch the PlayStation application on your device.
  2. Tap on the Games library tab (the fourth) and choose the Bought section.
  3. It will show you a list of all the PlayStation games purchased and redeemed through the PlayStation Plus subscription.
  4. Select the PlayStation 5 game you would like to download and touch the Download to console button.

This will start the download process on your PlayStation 5 console almost instantly. It goes without saying that the actual time to complete the download will vary depending on the size of the game and your internet connection. If you are unable to download due to insufficient storage space, you can manage it by visiting the application settings. It will show you a list of all the applications and games installed on your PlayStation 5 along with the space occupied by each of them.

The good thing is that the application allows you to uninstall several applications and games at the same time. If you have any particular concerns or questions regarding remote downloading, feel free to ask them in the comment section below.
