In the immediate aftermath of the OPPO Find N launch, the company’s flagship in 2022 has just leaked in a set of 5K renders. The images come from leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) via the Prepp website, and boasts the upcoming OPPO Find X3 Pro successor with a fairly similar design.
By appearance, the front will resemble the Find X3 Pro with a large, curved screen and a hole-punch camera in the upper left corner. However, the rear end has some slight but noticeable changes.
Rather than a uniform square, the chamber hump is more liquid and oblong in shape. This would highlight the overall unibody design of the device and definitely stands out from a crowd of similar-looking camera humps on some of the best Android phones this year.
From the looks of it, the device will only feature three rear cameras, a step down from the four found on the Find X3 Pro. OPPO may have decided not to include the microscope lens this year, a standout feature that allowed users get very close to your topic. This would allow you to get a closer look at the symbols on the plates of the PS5, for example.
The microscope ring comes equipped with a ring of light to help illuminate the subject. However, the lack of a ring of light in these renders indicates that OPPO is likely ditching it.
OnLeaks didn’t provide any specs for the renders, but we could expect dual 50MP cameras on the rear for primary and ultrawide sensors. Prepp also speculates on a 13MP camera, probably for a telephoto sensor.
One thing we can look forward to is OPPO’s new Imaging NPU to enhance RAW images and HDR video capture.
As for the name, we can probably expect it to be called the OPPO Find X5 Pro, as the number four is considered unfortunate in some Asian cultures. It is likely to launch in March 2022 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset in tow.
