More 2022 F1 Car Images Reportedly Leaked Hours After Mercedes’ New Year Special Sneak-Peek

The New Year is often believed to bring new promise and excitement to the whole world. And this also applies to the pinnacle of motorsport, Formula 1, thanks to the massive regulation-induced campaign on the horizon. Therefore, Mercedes started the year 2022 with a preview of the bodywork of its F1 challenger that will soon be revealed.

On the first day of 2022, Mercedes released an image of the W13 on social media (Instagram and Twitter). The image showed the front view of the W13 in low light and a very dark background, and the caption read: “New year, new Mercedes. “

Fans couldn’t get a good look at the car, as Mercedes didn’t want to reveal too much and keep a mystery for the car’s official launch, scheduled for February. Well, just a day later, more images of the car that starred in the Mercedes teaser have appeared on Twitter.

Only this time, the snapshots were taken under much brighter lighting.

Mercedes F1 images were reportedly leaked on social media

When Mercedes developed the image, it almost looked as if the image was computerized using the biggest reveal ahead of the 2021 British Grand Prix. But it turns out that it is, in fact, a snapshot of a life-size 2022 F1 car.

British Motorsport racing driver Bradley Philpot revealed the images on Twitter, crediting one of the Twitter users. He wrote, “So it wasn’t just a render based on the F1 mockup! It exists in real life!

It is quite obvious that this is not the actual W13 design but rather a display model for the ‘New Years’ publication. But here’s something interesting; Mercedes isn’t alone in this, as most teams on the grid likely own one of those cars, so they could often taunt fans to keep them on their toes.
