New Generation Scorpio Leaked

Did the new generation of Scorpios leak?

The rear and side of the SUV are visible in this image. For starters, the entire silhouette of the Scorpio looks muscular, tomboyish, and modern. The taillights are wraparound with LED treatment joined by a thick slab. The bumper, sports protection skid plate and dual exhaust give the rear a robust and rugged appearance. There’s a shark fin antenna and functional roof rails to determine that SUV character. The A, B and C-pillars are housed in a casing, while the blacked-out D-pillar forms a box of its own. The wheel arches are square with black alloy wheels that give the side profile a boxy feel. Whether it’s a leaked image of the Scorpio or not, if the actual model looks like this version, Mahindra might have another winner on its hands.

The Scorpio comes with a 2.2-liter diesel engine that generates 140 hp and 320 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. This engine is mated to a single 6-speed manual transmission. Higher models also have a 4 × 4 powertrain. It will feature Mahindra’s 1.2-liter direct-injection turbo petrol engine that will generate 150 hp. There could also be the convenience of an automatic transmission with the next SUV. There are no direct rivals to the Scorpio, but being positioned in the midsize SUV space, one might think of the Creta and Seltos as rivals, although the purpose of these SUVs is completely different.
