Pune paper leak cases: Three more arrests take total to 31

Expanding on their investigation into the string of malpractices in government recruiting, Pune police said on Friday they have made three new arrests in recent days, bringing the total number of arrests in the case series to 31.

Beginning with the investigation into a paper leak of the Group D employee recruitment process at the Health Department in November, the Pune City Police Cyber ​​Cell extended its investigation into the question paper leaks about the 2018 MHADA recruitment, the 2019 Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and the Department of Health Group C recruitment process.

In the new set of arrests, police arrested Sunil Khandu Gholap (48) from Pune, the driver working for the Maharashtra State Examination Council (MSCE) Commissioner Tukaram Supe, who was arrested for tampering with trademarks at the 2019 state TET, held in January 2020. The police also arrested an intermediary identified as Manoj Dongre (45) from Latur on December 29.

Meanwhile, on December 30, the police arrested another intermediary identified as Ashutosh Sharma (38), a resident of Rohini in Delhi, for his involvement in the leak of the Health Department Group C staffing document.
