Contrary to an earlier report suggesting that the Galaxy S21 FE will launch on January 3, the 91mobiles report claims that the phone will debut globally on January 4. Additionally, past and most recent leaks have disclosed pretty much everything there is to know about the Galaxy S21 FE. Additionally, Agarwal has confirmed to 91mobiles that Samsung will launch an Exynos 2100 variant in the country instead of the Snapdragon 888 variant. The leaker also shed light on the device’s RAM, storage and color variants.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE India variant will include an Exynos 2100 chipset. The global version, on the other hand, will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The base model in India will offer 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Alternatively, those who go for the higher-end model will get 8GB of RAM, along with a plentiful 256GB built-in storage capacity. The base model of the global variant will ship with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage.
Additionally, the phone will be available in several striking color options such as Graphite, Olive, Purple, and White. The rest of the specifications are likely to be the same as the global version.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is likely to have a 6.4-inch dynamic AMOLED display that offers Full HD + resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the screen has a perforated notch to house a selfie camera. For added protection, the phone has an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone has a 4370 mAh battery that supports 15 W wireless charging and 25 W wired fast charging.
Other than that, the Galaxy S21 FE will house three rear-mounted cameras. This triple camera setup comprises a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. For capturing selfies and video calls, the Galaxy S21 FE will feature a 32MP shooter on the front. It boots into the Android 12 operating system out of the box and has an IP68 rating for water resistance. Samsung will offer three major Android updates. In other words, the Galaxy S21 FE can be upgraded to the Android 15 operating system.
