Someone Leaked An Image From Star Wars Eclipse A Week Before TGA And No One Noticed

Someone leaked footage of the Star Wars Eclipse reveal trailer a week before The Game Awards and no one noticed.

Leaks are a very common thing before big game shows, but it’s rare when one of them is really accurate. Even weirder than that is when you are accurate and no one notices.

That is exactly what happened with Star Wars Eclipse. A week before The Game Awards, Twitter user AccNGT tweeted a from the Eclipse trailer, in addition to showing off the finished logo that we can see in the trailer. Most people dismissed the image as a fake leak, or some kind of fan-art, but the game’s official reveal trailer featured the same logo and the same shot of two Jedi wielding lightsabers as shared by AccNGT.

THE VIDEO OF THE DAY OF THEGAMER

AccNGT claims not to be an insider or leaker and instead considers himself a game and data analyst. When asked about the leak, they said, “This is an official image, probably from the teaser yes,” which implies that they were sent someone else’s image and that they are simply reporting on it.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first thing AccNGT has shared about Star Wars Eclipse, and considering they had an official image of the game a week before its reveal, it seems likely that some of that is true. Some of the key details that AccNGT has highlighted include that is, “Action-Adventure, based on interactive storytelling, open world, next-gen only” and has some “multiplayer elements”.

AccNGT also states that “Quantic Dream Montreal is very involved” and that the game will have a traditional action game. They also report that game testing is in progress and that development is “quite advanced,” which apparently refers to pre-production of the game. From this information, it appears that Eclipse is still in a very early stage of development.

It is unclear how AccNGT obtained the development details and trailer footage so early, but considering that they have been shown to be correct, it is possible that some of the other information is also true.
