Kia India recently introduced Carens in India to the world, making it the South Korean automaker’s fourth product after Seltos, Carnival and Sonet. The Kia Carens will position itself between Seltos and Carnival and, upon launch, the Carens will compete against Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra Marazzo, Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki XL6.
In terms of design, Carens is a minivan in disguise, but it has SUV-style features like thick front bumper, flat hood, dual-beam LED projector headlights with integrated Y-shaped LED DRLs and chrome accents along with a sporty alloy. two-tone. wheels, roof rails and thick body cladding.
Designed with a focus on comfort and convenience, Carens has a luxurious and spacious interior. Carens is expected to be available in six- and seven-seat configurations. The interior theme will combine a minimalist style with contemporary features.

Among the Kia Carens variants, there are L, LX, EX, EX +, TX and TX +, and some of these variants will be further subdivided as LX Premium, EX Prestige, EX + Prestige +, TX Luxury and the top of the TX + Luxury + line.
In addition to the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Carens also comes with a range of smart internet-connected features that can be accessed via UVO. Stolen vehicle tracking and immobilization, geofence alerts, remote access, AI-assisted voice commands, find my car, vehicle health reports, and maintenance notifications are some of the connectivity features.

Kia Caren works with the same engine option that powers the Kia Seltos, which are the 1.4-liter turbo gasoline engine that produces 140 hp of power and 242 Nm of torque and the 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine that generates 115 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The gasoline engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or DCT automatic transmission and the diesel is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic torque converter.
Kia Carens was launched on December 16, 2021. It is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2022, at a cost of Rs 15-20 lakhs.
