Valorant officially teases next new agent after Prime Gaming leak

After Prime Gaming accidentally leaked footage of the next new agent, Valorant decided to give fans an official preview.

Fans of Valorant noticed a face they had never seen before when they checked out the game’s recently updated Prime Gaming page on December 31.

It didn’t take long for speculation to start to fly, with fans convinced this was the game’s next agent. The image, while cropped, was definitely an official Riot artwork, shared a bit ahead of schedule.

Prime Gaming leaks a new Valorant agent

This image of Valorant’s next agent appeared on the Prime Gaming page on December 31st.

The image above was only active for a few minutes on the Prime Gaming loot page, but it was more than enough for players to take a screenshot.

While we don’t know his name, the Ponytail Swing Agent could very well be another movement-based character. Not only is she shown passing other characters in this image, but an official teaser from Riot also implies that she will be fast.

Shortly after the image was replaced on the Prime Gaming page, Riot decided to give gamers a full, uncropped version of the image. Along with this, they also hinted that this new agent will be fully revealed the week of January 3, 2022.

“It looks like some of you might be faster than our next Agent. Here’s an uncut version to share, ”the official Valorant account tweeted. “See you next week!”

Getting a full teaser image from the developers was definitely a surprise, but a welcome one for players who have been wondering who the next agent might be. The best part? This full trailer was posted less than an hour after the leak was first posted. Now there is some community involvement for you.

While this new agent definitely appears to be a speedster, it remains to be seen if she’ll end up being another Duelist or something else. At least we’ll only have to wait a week to find out.
