We are late in 2021 and as you might expect from this time of year, not only is there a lot of Christmas cheer, but for us tech enthusiasts, we also have tons of new leaks already arriving for next year’s phones. . . One of the most exciting upcoming devices (and sadly one we won’t get on this side of the world) is the Xiaomi 12 (remember, there’s no Mi anymore), and we’ve got an even better idea of what to expect. thanks to some recently leaked renders.
These photos come from Evan blass and showing the phone from multiple angles, corroborating leaks from previous designs. Compared to the Mi 11 (above), the 12 will feature a rectangular camera module rather than a square-shaped bulge, and it appears that it will protrude quite a bit from the back of the phone. We can see the “50MP” text here, confirming that the device will feature a 50MP main rear sensor, which positively outshines the two rear auxiliary cameras.
Coming to the fore, we can also see some changes for this generation. For one thing, the screen doesn’t appear to be as curved as the panel on the Mi 11, or it moves from the upper left corner to the center, a layout that is also used in the company’s mid-range and lower-end Redmi phones. . The screen itself is 6.28 inches; by contrast, the Mi 11’s screen was 6.81 inches, so this phone will be considerably smaller.
The Xiaomi 12 makes its formal debut in a few days, and it is confirmed to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and other high-end components. It’s a shame we can’t buy it in America.
Fairphone has finally found the formula
