Xiaomi 12X Expected to Launch in India Soon; Details Leaked


Xiaomi recently introduced the high-end Xiaomi 12 series with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, along with the Xiaomi 12X that makes do with the mid-range Snapdragon 870 chipset. While it is not known when the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro will arrive in India, it has been revealed that the Xiaomi 12X will surely launch in India soon.

Xiaomi 12X India Launch Soon

A report from 91Mobiles suggests that the Xiaomi 12X Confirmed To Launch Soon In India. This contradicts a previous rumor, which suggested that the phone will not arrive in India. However, we do not have details on the exact release date. However, it is likely to launch in the first half of 2022.

Apart from this, the source has revealed details about the RAM + storage variants, the possible color options and the price of the Xiaomi 12X in India. It is revealed that the the smartphone will launch in two configurations – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. Also, it is expected to be available in purple, blue and gray color options.

As for the price, the Xiaomi 12X is more likely to fall below Rs 40,000 to compete with OnePlus Nord 2, Realme GT 5G and more in India.

For those who don’t know, the Xiaomi 12X comes with a similar design to the Xiaomi 12. You will find a rectangular rear camera with one large and two small camera housing, and a perforated screen. It has a 6.28-inch Full-HD + AMOLED panel on board. It is compatible with a 120Hz refresh rate, a touch sample rate of 480Hz, a maximum brightness of 1100 nits, Dolby Vision, HDR10 + and a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus.

In China, the phone gets up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. As for the camera, there is a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro camera on board. You also get a 32MP selfie camera. The phone is equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery with support for fast charging 67W and it runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. It remains to be seen whether or not the Xiaomi 12X will make it to India with the new MIUI iteration or not.
